We feel very fortunate to have many happy patients who have allowed us to be part of their journeys. Here are a few of our favorites.
I have been dealing with lower back pain for years caused by multiple herniated discs with nerve impingement. I have gone through extensive non-surgical treatments (yoga, physical therapy, acupuncture) with only short-term relief. Surgery was quickly looking likely. But at my age (late 30’s) and with the active lifestyle I like to lead, the long-term prospects of surgery were a little scary. Once you start down the surgical path there is no going back, and more surgeries are likely.
As with a lot of back pain sufferers, there seemed to be a “trigger” area that always preceded a severe flare-up. In my case, the trigger area was around my SI joint. Once the pain started there, if I did not address it quickly (anti-inflammatories, extensive rest, stretching once the area calmed down), I could count on severe sciatica and debilitating pain requiring a Dr’s visit and prescription-strength relief. Not an enjoyable time to say the least.
A family member who works in orthopedics recommended that I give a stem cell shot a try as a last-ditch attempt to avoid surgery. He helped set up the appointment and the procedure was done quickly with minimal pain on an outpatient basis. It has been a little over 2 months now and I have had ZERO flare-ups despite my best well-intentioned attempts at aggravating it (a 4-day golf tournament with 18 holes each day). If you are considering surgery I highly recommend giving this treatment a try.

I am a 55-year old weekend warrior and gym rat. I have had arthritis in my right shoulder for several years. Initially, I took occasional over-the-counter medication for pain. When things became worse, I had a cortisone injection. This improved my pain somewhat for a few months. After that, I had a PRP injection, which worked about the same as the cortisone, but slightly longer. Finally, I had a stem cell injection. My shoulder pain improved very significantly, and I am still going strong 17 months later!!

Stem cells, hurray! I had been suffering for many years with bad knees--not good for an avid tennis player. I had surgery several years ago, which improved my condition and allowed me to play without braces. Over the years, my knees started to trouble me again. Cortisone was of no help, and topical medications worked slightly. It took two injections into each knee, but more than a year later my knee pain is significantly better.

"I am forever grateful to Dr. Meadows. I suffered from terrible shoulder pain for many years and was unable to perform my craft of making jewelry. With my reverse shoulder replacement I was up and about just 4 days after my surgery, and less than two months after surgery I am almost completely pain-free. I can lift my arm, I can sleep through the night, and I can now make and teach others how to make jewelry every single day of the week. Dr. Meadows is a great surgeon and a great guy!"

"I am so grateful to Dr. Buchalter. I had been terrified to have my knee replaced because of the long and hard recovery. To my astonishment, the pain was manageable and within a few weeks, I was walking again without any help or device. By week four I was able to walk the entire mall with no pain or difficulty! I am completely pain-free and have my life back."

"My leg was badly fractured in a car accident. Being a type 1 diabetic, this was especially scary and dangerous. Dr. Meadows did an amazing job fixing my leg and was extremely cautious and caring during my recovery. Today I am as good as new. Even better, there is barely a visible scar and I can walk normally."

I once wrote this in a card to thank Dr. Weisz for his excellent care of a family member of mine...
"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, humpty dumpty had a great fall, all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty dumpty back together again, but Dr. Weisz could. And that is the truth of the matter. God Bless You, Dr. Weisz. You are an angel in my eyes."
