Alyson Slater, MD

Dr. Slater is a board certified Foot & Ankle surgeon practicing in Delray Beach, FL. After completing her bachelor of science at Florida State University, she went on to obtain her DPM degree at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami. While in Podiatric medical school, she received award recognition for clinical excellence as well as biomechanics. Dr. Slater later matched into an intensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Miami, FL where she served as chief resident in her third year. She continues her academic pursuits as a member of the teaching faculty at Bethesda Medical Center’s Foot & Ankle Surgery residency program. She has been extensively trained in traumatic, reconstructive, and elective surgery of the foot and ankle.
Throughout Dr. Slater’s career, she has focused on centering patients in their own care. She believes it is imperative for patients to fully understand their pathologies so they can make the most well informed decisions regarding their health. She takes the time to explain things thoroughly and follows patients closely until they’ve reached the point of relief. Dr. Slater is exhaustive in her conservative approaches but offers expertise in surgical intervention when necessary.
Dr. Slater is an active member of the Palm Beach County community. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Palm Beach Country Podiatric medical association. She is also on the executive board of Boca Ballet Theatre. She is passionate about service to her patients, profession and the arts. She enjoys all aspects of Podiatry with a special interest in Dance Medicine, pediatrics, wound care, surgery and management of the diabetic foot. In her free time Dr. Slater enjoys exercising, attending the ballet, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.
